2XU Hong Kong sponsors a wide range of Ambassadors. Our desire to support and encourage these athletes arises from attributes we regard as fundamental to our branding and philosophy. Our Ambassadors display exceptional spirit and dedication in their chosen sporting field. Whilst they are regularly winners or podium finishers this is not the most important thing for us. We are looking for passionate sportspeople across a range of sports who display an exemplary attitude to sport and their fellow sportspeople, are continuously striving to achieve and have a drive and passion that other athletes admire and aspire to.

"I first got into triathlon when I moved from the UK to Hong Kong 4 years ago. I now love the sport but still struggle with the early starts! I am immensely proud to be a 2XU Ambassador, across the board the clothing is excellent and the compression products really work to aid recovery following both training and races. I hold age groups wins in the Hong Kong ITU Triathlon 2009, Phuket Triathlon 2010 (70.3 race and qualified for the 2011 70.3 World Championships), 2009 and 2008 and Bintan Triathlon 2008. Completing the New Zealand Ironman in 2010 and 2009 has been a highlight and has set aspirations to compete in more of these endurance races. I regularly compete in adventure racing and have enjoyed wins in the Greenpower 50km race (2010), AVOK Race Series 2011, Revolution Asia series, Action Asia races and King of the Hill series. I represented Hong Kong in the 2009 Netball Asian Championships in Kuala Lumpur and currently play for the Club team at Hong Kong Football Club. My husband and I also love to travel and have a lot of fun exploring Asia on bikes including several cycling trips to Taiwan and cycling from Lhasa to Kathmandu across the Himalayas via Everest Base Camp.”

"Since arriving in Hong Kong almost 7 years ago I have been increasingly involved in mountain biking with a few friends and competed in a number of the Action Asia MTB races. The natural progression to adventure racing followed and the hook is now set and I’m looking forward to competing in most of the adventure races around Hong Kong. My racing partner, Alistair, and I have both been using 2XU for a while now and love the benefits of both the race and recovery gear. I am very proud to be an ambassador of this great product!"
Alistair Haigh-Smith"I have been living in Hong Kong for over 10 years, a Mountain biker by design, I got involved in these bike race with some friends.
The natural progression has been to diversify and become an adventure racer, adding the disciplines or trail running, Kayaking and orienteering. We now compete in most of the adventure races in Hong Kong and around Asia. Both my partner Simon and I have been using 2XU for a while, in both the racing and recovery and enjoy the benefits that the gear gives us and it makes us proud to be 2XU ambassadors for such awesome product."
Wong Ho Fai"Life is an adventure, there always challenges waiting for us.I like using camera to capture the best moment we perform on this "stage". 2XU give me the sense where I am and make me stay at the best."
Nerida Rigg"I have been participating in triathlon for 13 years, the first nine I strove to get on the podium at every race, but now since having kids I enjoy the sport more for the camaraderie and the chance to do something for myself. The buzz of race days and the thrill of crossing the finish line keep me going back for more. I also get a kick out of organizing races here in Hong Kong, watching new people get hooked on swimming and running, and seeing the sport flourish as a whole."
Tom Hardman"I first got into Triathlon after a friend suggested that it was "fun". I gave it a go without really knowing what the fuss was all about. I put on my trisuit (backwards) and went to my first race - I came back hooked on the sport. I joined the Hong Kong Tritons where I was able to train properly, concentrating especially on my swimming and I also started to ride with the local SIRS group. I entered as many local races as possible competing in the Dragon's Races, all the Revolution Asia races and the Hong Kong ITU. Through all these, I developed such a strong passion for the sport. Last year, I saw my fitness increase and I was lucky enough to compete in different 70.3 distances in China, Philippines and Taiwan. My biggest achievement however was to compete in the 2010 Cozumel Ironman. This year, I will be competing in more local races as well as returning back to compete in China and Phuket. Triathlon has given me a great sense of achivement and through the sport, great friendships have been made. Besides Triathlon, I also enjoy competing in the Action Asia series and on a more relaxing note, I love to sail and kitesurf."
I'm Carmen Lee, national squash player for Hong Kong. Started playing since I was 7 and started playing for Hong Kong in 2005.
Over the years, my best results were World Junior Open Team Event Silver (2nd Place), Asian Junior Open Bronze (3rd Place) and Crocodile Challenge Cup 2010 3rd Place.
I'm currently world 63rd. My aim this year is top 50. Competing in world tournaments against the most competitive players, I demand the best equipment and 2XU is definitely the best.
Not only helping me push my performance on court, it also helps me speed up my recovery rate off court. Armed with 2XU Compression products, I can foresee a successful 2011.
Ivan LoHi everyone, I am Ivan Lo the Hong Kong U23 Triathlete.
I love to do triathlon because i have the desire to succeed.
My first Triathlon was at the age of 14 and 7 years later I am still as dedicated, passionate and excited about my sport as I was when I was 17 years old. The three discipline sin the Triathlon each have there own challenge which make triathlon unique. I am committed and dedicated to all three and have the will to win.
My inspiration comes from Alistar Brownlee who is GB top triathlete he motivates me to train harder as I aspire to succeed and be a world class athlete.
AJ Anderson"No sooner had I completed my first mini triathlon, thoughts of Beijing were already stirring. Undeterred by the hard work that needed to be done, I quit my job in Australia, found a coach, moved cities and was lucky enough to start training with the National Swiss team. During this time though my ambitions and capabilities were met head on with a rude awakening, called reality!
Taking advice from the best in the business I decided to put the olympic dream on hold permanently. Fast forward a couple of years, I have now competed in races all over the world from sprints to Ironman. Since moving to Hong Kong in the summer of 2009 I enjoy competing in the local race scene and venture overseas to compete in international races in between term time at Hong Kong University."

Sarah WheelerBorn in Belgium, but raised in Denmark and Africa, Hong Kong became the perfect place to settle down. As an all round athlete, Triathlon was the most obvious sport for me to get involved in. As founder of LX Kids Sports Magazine and TriMag Asia , writing about sport and spreading the word to our wider community has become just as much of a passion for me as competing.
Irshaad SayedWhile growing up and going to school in Cape Town I competed in my 1st professional kickboxing fight. After this all the other sports fell away and my focus went on fighting.
I moved to Thailand after school to train day in, day out, learning the life of a real Muay Thai Fighter. To take my fitness knowledge further I enrolled at Exercise Teachers Academy in Cape Town.
Now living in HK I continue to train and fight in International Competition and work as a trainer at a martial arts gym. I've had some great successes in my sport and am the founder of "kickboxing against drugs" fighting tournaments in Cape Town.
Michael MaiersHaving arrived in Hong Kong from Australia in 2004, I took on Triathlon and competed in many local and international races, having some good results in the age group categories. Nearly seven years on in 2010/ 2011, I decided that I'd concentrate solely on cycling and haven't looked back. Having completed my first stage race in Bintan 2010 with a bunch of mates, I ended up winning the G.C. (General Classification) and the K.O.M. (King of the Mountains) in the cat 2 and have since been part of a local cycle team where we train and race as a team in local and internationl races.
Being a Personal Trainer and cyclist, recovery for me is a very high priority, so wearing the 2XU compression garments after racing and hard sessions definitely helps me get ready for my next session. I am proud to endorse and be an ambassador for 2XU compression wear.

In August 2011 he will undertake an epic unsupported 3,000 km cycling journey on the Silk Road from Mashhad (Iran) to finish in Kashgar (China) for 7 weeks crossing Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgystan and China, following some of the great journeys in history and traversing the most diverse terrains: deserts, steppes, alpine valleys, highland plateau, mountains; from torrid to freezing climates. The ultimate goal of the journey is to raise seeding fund for “Sports For Hope Foundation”, which will focus on providing an all rounded sports’ training program (swimming, running and cycling) to those under privileged children between age 8?16.
Ally MaclayI have been involved in rugby for 21 years and presently work as a coach for the HKRFU and Valley RFC. I’ve represented Scotland at all age group levels and has also played in the U.21 World Cup in 2004. Having decided to give up my teaching career back home, I was offered to come and play rugby for Tradition Valley RFC in Hong Kong. In 2011, I qualified to play for Hong Kong Rugby both in the 7s and 15s squads. With these opportunities, it bodes for a very exciting time in my playing career. “I am look forward to using 2XU products to improve my recovery and performance over the coming season. I am hugely grateful from Kirsty and 2XU for their support”.
